1. Internet portal of the culture of the Baltic States – media in Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, English and Russian languages comprising all aspects of culture.

2. Portal operates on a principle similar to one employed by the leading news portals (i.e. www.delfi.ee, www.ekspress.ee, www.aripaev.ee) – a professional group of editors prepare the content on culture events in all fields of culture in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

Portal serves an important role as a culture media and represents a source of content guaranteed information, shapes the public opinion and is quoted by other media sources.

3. The main objective of the portal is to present culture events in a new light – easily accessible, comprehensible, easy to perceive to any internet user in the Baltic States and abroad, because currently:

  • news on culture events are difficult to be found in news media,
  • there does not exist a single, comprehensible source of culture information nor a calendar of culture events (each organization has separate webpage and consumer need to know its precise address to find it)
  • news are mostly available in the local language and are not tourist-orientated
